This is the final conveyance.
Conveyance 1: Based on 04b-19, I made everything closer together and made it more 3D brick looking.
Conveyance 2: Based on the Broadway font. I made the letter ‘I’ more with a top and bottom cross so it would stand out more. I also decided to keep a whole brick for the letter “c” instead of cutting it off I drew white cracked lines to finish the curve of the “c”.
This is also based on 04b-19 but I decided to used a perfect square for ever letter instead of full and half square cuts of the 04b-19 font.
I decided to make 3 conveyances for brick, the first one is based on 04b-19 font Capital letters, but i made it look more like a 3D brick and have the type even more crowded that 04b-19.
The second conveyance is inspired by the font Broadway in all caps as well. For this one I used the blocks for similar to Broadway but made the rest of the strokes for each letter look like cracks that you would see on the bricks of walls.
The third one is also based on 04b-19, it is more similar to that font that the first conveyance. I kept the text flat and black as well as the white spacing within each letter more squared.
in addition to tracing I did some sketches for “brick”
Once I played with the type specimens, I chose the word “BRICK” and traced the fonts 04b-19, OCR A STD, and Broadway several times but coloring and tracing them differently for the right effect.
These are the words and fonts I initially chose for the assignment. I also printed out the font name.
